Here’s a little secret…

Your bread is color coded!  …did you know that?

Well, not all bread, but most big-brand name companies.

When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you “squeeze” it?

Well no more!  With this little tip, you can now know what bread is the freshest just by looking at the color of the tab.

Bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Each day has a different color twist tie for when it was baked. Even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors.

They are:
Monday = Blue
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow

So if today is Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white, which was Friday’s (almost a week old)!

It’s just a quick tip, but very useful.  Do you squeeze your bread?
